Practice Areas

Margaret Austin is a partner in the Property department and head of the firm's Construction, Planning and Environment group. Margaret advises on Construction, Planning and Environmental matters arising in major infrastructure projects promoted by public and private developers.  She advises contractors, developers, funders, contractors and professional teams at all stages of a construction project including dispute resolution.  She advises on planning and environmental aspects of mergers and acquisitions including those involving energy infrastructure. Margaret has also provided advices on contaminated land, contracts for provision of waste services and legal liabilities arising from contaminated land.

Membership of Chambers / Bodies

Margaret is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Margaret is the Chairwoman of the Irish Environmental Law Association and the Treasurer of the European Environmental Law Association and has written numerous articles and lectured at Trinity College, University College Dublin, Engineers Ireland and the Law Society, on aspects of construction, planning and environmental law.
