Maura is Partner and Head of the Firm's Dispute Resolution Law Department. She also leads the Firm's Employment & Employee Benefits Law Group.
Maura’s practice includes advice on regulatory matters, including professional conduct investigations and decision making, administrative law and legal proceedings. She has advised on statutory investigations and directors’ liability for statutory offences. Maura has experience of the management of large scale litigation and currently acts as lead partner on a large Commercial Court case relating to professional negligence. This has included management of a large e-discovery process. In addition to representing clients in the Courts, particularly the High Court and Commercial Court, Maura has advised extensively on alternative dispute resolution procedures including mediation.
Having practised extensively for many years in the area of employment law, Maura is recognised as being a highly experienced and pragmatic advisor. She advises employers and employees on all aspects of employment law including contentious and non-contentious matters. She has represented clients in employment law tribunals and before industrial relations bodies.
She has been involved in many commercial transactions and has considerable experience of employment law issues arising in the context of mergers and acquisitions.

Maura is a former Chair of the Law Society's Employment and Equality Law Committee (2012 to 2015). She is also a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association, the Employment Law Association of Ireland, the Association of Pension Lawyers Ireland and the Health & Safety Lawyers Association of Ireland.

Maura has made presentations to a number of bodies including Public Affairs Ireland, the Law Society of Ireland and to clients. She has published articles and commentary in the National media and has contributed articles to many publications relating to employment law. Maura also lectures to the Law Society's Diploma in Employment law and has been appointed to act as mentor on the Law Society’s Masters programme for Employment Law.
