10 September 2021
The processing of applications for short-stay entry visas will re-commence on Monday 13 September having been suspended for 18 months.
Minister for Justice Heather Humphreys made the announcement in line with the next phase of the Government’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The resumption will benefit travellers who require an entry visa to travel to Ireland and who are seeking to arrive in Ireland on a short-term basis (up to a maximum of 90 days) for the purposes of business/ training/ tourism.
Measures required by law will continue to apply to all travellers entering Ireland, such as proof of vaccination, proof of recovery from Covid-19 or a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before arrival.
